Chelsea and Manchester City aim for young striker Genoa
Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in the young 16-year-old Genoa, who is Pietro Pellegri.
The striker was able to score his Serie A debut in May against AS Roma, then dropped off the bench to minimize Sunday’s 3-2 defeat of Lazio.
It’s no secret that there are Serie A teams like Milan, Juventus and Inter are in intensive negotiations to bring Pellegri and his 15-year-old teammate Eddy Salcedo.
Now they have new competitors from the England team, especially The Blues and The Citizens, according to the local newspaper.
Manchester United have approached Pellegri in 2015, but his family prefers to keep him in Italy.
Pellegri was able to make history as the youngest player to score Serie A goals, aged 16 years and 184 days, beating the record owned by Silvio Piola.
